Hi guys, welcome back to my blog, as you can see my last blog was about my little cute sugar glider but if you think that only that 2 little guys, you’re wrong. Today, i come to share and give some advice for who decide to pet the hedgehog.
The first question of many people is “is it expensive?” The answer is not at all. The price of this little guy are about 300-1500bath or 9$-47$. The hedgehog really like to stay alone and sleep in their house. They use to sleep at day but active in night and you must accept about their smell, no matter how you take a bath for them frequently, they will get stink in inly two days. However, it’s not that bad and if you can skip this condition, you will found how lovely is it. Next is ,y experience about hedgehog and this is my little friend “Meji”!!
I brought Meji on last October, So she is just a little girl with 4 months aged. First of all, when i took her, the next thing is her house. Hedgehog love to stay under something like hole and tree or you can use your t-shirt for them but it hard to clean when this little guys defecate. The next thing that you need to know is hedgehog are love to stay alone as i mention above, so if you want them to play with you, you must start first.
It is normal that the first time when they see us, they will think that we gonna eat him.So,when this little guy scare, they will coat themselves with spike. You need to calm and wait then place your hand in front of him, when they feel more safe ,they will come out from spike and start sniffing your hand then lick at their back. This is how they remember us, the hedgehog remember everything with his saliva, so you will see they play their saliva all the time. After that you must try to play with them frequently until they not scare and want to stay with you.
The food of hedgehog are very easy to find and cheap but many people misunderstanding. The food of hedgehog as same as cat food but it have a special recipe for hedgehog or you can use cat food too and you can use the natural food like worm or insect, the hedgehog really love it.
They are easy to pet but they are hard to trust owner, once he trust, he will remember only their owner and think that we are their family.
